“Shamim we feel sorry for you”: the most common phrase in most emails i get in my email inbox, watsap, twitter, instagram and all the channels of communication.  Most people here in Uganda and out of here that know me. Know me because of the travel business. Coronavirus however has brought up a feeling in persons that i have to answer a few questions all day. Yes the idea of not travelling and not being able to work is not fare at all for many of us. We have been stuck for quite some time now though people have been moving until early march and for some end of Feb. As the coronavirus keeps spreading more and more around the world; the questions keep popping up: Are we ever going to travel again? Should I cancel my august trip? Is their covid-19 in Africa more and more each minute? Coronavirus: Important travel Advise.

In a way to curb down the spread of the coronavirus travel Uganda has restricted visitors from everywhere to Uganda. Countries with what it terms high cases of coronavirus travel, including China, France, Germany, Iran, Italy, South Korea, and Spain were burned first but later closed to all the public. The country’s health minister Jane Ruth Aceng said in a statement earlier issued a statement. A revised advisory  by the Health Ministry increased the number of high-risk countries from 7 to 16, including the United States and the UK. The other countries include the Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Austria, and Malaysia. In the new statement, travelers from these countries are urged to consider “postponing non-essential travel to Uganda.” However, when Uganda registered its first case of the Covid-19 the government of Uganda locked down all boundaries to even Ugandans returning to their motherland.
